Sans Bornes means without limits and the focus and enthusiasm of these Directors reflect this sentiment. They are Canadian based and are also skilled in more than one aspect of filmmaking. The everyday production fence posts of budget, schedule, and final deliverables do not stand in the way of their creative vision and tenacious efforts.
Sans Bornes is inspired by Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) whose endeavours show us that anything is possible. Specializing in food and its surrounding culture, Ryan has shot over 50 cookbooks; many of which have gone on to win numerous awards. His work has been featured prominently in the Communication Arts and Applied Arts photographer annuals over the past 10 years.
Based in Toronto, Ryan is married to longtime collaborator, prop stylist Madeleine Johari. They have two little budding photographers, Willow and Ivy.
